ABSTRACT
This research works centers on the effective of Home Economics teachers qualification on academic performance of student . This study was conducted at Oyo State, Abiodun Atiba memorial institution, Kosobo, Oyo .Oyo East Local Government Area of Oyo State. The sample for this study comprises of twenty (20) teachers of the school. The instrument used for the data collection in this study was questionnaires and simple percentage was used for the data analysis. The result of data reveals that teachers qualification/certificate has no significant relationship with student academic performance. Teacher knowledge of subject matter was found to establish a strong relationship with student academic performance. it was concluded that the use of pedagogical skills has no relationship also with student academic performance in home economics .
